Group of Highlander Cat Breeders. Highlander cats are characterized by the peculiar back curl of the ears. Males can grow to be up to 40 pounds. These cats can be taught to fetch, roll over, beg, and enjoy walking on a leash. The main difference between the Highlander and a dog, as one web site puts it, is that the cat is litter box trained! Some people think they are not very friendly, and others disagree completely. They come in a very wide variety of colors. and markings. Photo credit www.i-love-cats.com.
