FISA Rules for NSA Surveillance of US Citizens
Like many things that later look nutty when looked at from the lens of experience, the rules and rationale no doubt made sense and seemed reasonable at the time.

For many people they probably still are.

You decide.

People are idiots of course. What would prompt people, lots of them, tweet in an unkind way because an 11 year old Latino boy sang, really really well by the way, the anthem at the NBA finals the other day.

You're sitting there, having a beer and enjoying the festivities when a little kid sings the anthem and your first thought (word used generaously here) is to tweet nasty things.

The boy showed far more poise in response.

Utah city's "free-speech zones" challenged as unconstitutional
On the surface you say "what the heck?" Then you say, "OK ,Utah it HAS to be nuts"

The American Civil Liberties Union has sued a Utah city in federal court over a "free-speech zone" ordinance, saying the Orwellian-named measure unconstitutionally requires a permit for almost any form of public expression.

And it is. Really. You have to get permit to speak? REALLY?

Many suspected ineligible CO voters US citizens
Earlier this month, Republican Secretary of State Scott Gessler sent letters to nearly 4,000 people questioning their citizenship as part of a plan to have them voluntarily withdraw or confirm their eligibility to vote.

State officials were able to run 1,400 of those names through a federal immigration database and found that more than 1,200 were U.S. citizens. Verification of the remaining names is still pending, but so far, the search hasn't turned up any non-citizens registered to vote.

why are we wasting time and money on a problem that statistically (and practically) does not exist?

There are dozens of states working on various "voter id" laws. Why? Since 2000 there have been TEN cases of voter id "fraud" prosecuted. zero convictions. zero. Where is the problem here?

Texas judge warns of possible ?civil war? if President Obama is re-elected
No image can do this justice, sorry. hand the US over to the UN? REALLY?
First you have the Akins moron talking about real rape versus....whatever.. and people actually defending the idiot.

Now a judge talking utter nonsense. Would you want this clown handling your traffic ticket even?

Can we just rid ourselves of a half a dozen states? Maybe keep texas for resources but make most people leave to alabama
