US Agent (John Walker) became part of the new Invaders team formed by the U.S. Secretary of Defense Dell Rusk, in actuality the Red Skull, who intended to use the team for his own goals.

The other members were Union Jack (Joseph Chapman), Spitfire (Jacqueline Falsworth), Namor, Blazing Skull (Mark Todd), Thin Man (Bruce Dickson), a mysterious flame-generating girl named Tara and the Human Torch (Jim Hammond).

The new Invaders eventually learn of Red Skull's plan and thwart it. The majority of the members quit the team after the Skull-planted Tara causes the apparent "death" of the Human Torch.
